VisualWorks Smalltalk
Freely available Smalltalk books, suggestions:
- The Art and Science of Smalltalk explains everything you need to know to sucessfully work with VisualWorks Smalltalk in less than 225 pages (but do keep in mind it is based on a very old version of VisualWorks so some things can be a bit different).
- The original Smalltalk-80 book is more than 20 years old, but is still one of the best references for learning about the Smalltalk language and library (but not so much for the Smalltalk graphical environment as the VisualWorks environment deviates a lot from the original Smalltalk-80 environment)
