| a bit of me |
| I was born in a northern city of Chile called Antofagasta. I graduated from the Universidad Católica del Norte of this city as Civil Engineer in IT (a grade equivalent to European bachelor and master in computer science). After 4 years working in the industry, I started the European Master in Object-Oriented Software Engineering (EMOOSE). I passed the first half of this master at the Ecole des Mines de Nantes (France), and the second half at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium), where I did my master thesis and started my PhD afterwards. |
| Some of the activities I like to do are: |
- Sports: volleyball, badminton, squash, biking, running, etc.
- Music: playing guitar, singing, listening to any kind of music (with some few exceptions), going to concerts, and dancing.
- Reading: science fiction, novels in general, comics, and a bit of philosophy.
- Movies: any kind of movie, normally after recommendation of "trusty" people.
