About the Slogans
These slogans were made by the people of the fantastic e-mail discussion list icelandichorse at egroups. I want to thank all people for letting me publish them, because it would be a shame if they would get lost. They’re simply too good ! Especially thanks to the following people of the list who were so kind to send me an e-mail: Cile, Laura the Brown Dirt Cowgirl, Chellie Young, Jennifer, Holly Mitchell, Ti Pat and all the others I forgot ! About the humorous slogans
These slogans were made for fun and don’t mean to harm anyone’s feelings. They’re based on the Icelandic custom to eat the bad horse and to ride the good ones. This was necessary since Iceland is such a harsh place to live without much food for the Icelanders. Although it might seem a little bit cruel to some horse lovers, this custom made sure only the horses with a good character stayed alive and could be used for breeding. As a result Icelandic Horses, who kick, bite and buck are very rare.
